Become a KGL Member
HOW IT WORKS
Anyone can become a member. Membership gets you a FREE 24 hours of gear rental each time you borrow. To check gear out for a longer duration, members are welcome to rent at our daily/weekly rates. A membership lasts for one year.
Membership Cost*
- Individual Membership: $45 per year
- Household Membership: $150 per year
*Year-round Katahdin Region residents automatically qualify for a FREE membership, with the expectation that they will attend at least 1 workshop, event, or volunteer session per year.
Katahdin Region towns include: Millinocket, East Millinocket, Medway, Sherman, Stacyville, Patten, Mt. Chase, & Island Falls.
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
Sign up to become a member of the Katahdin Gear Library by stopping by our shop at 215 Penobscot Ave in Millinocket anytime during open hours. All you have to do is sign our waiver, pay your yearly fee (if applicable), and you will be on your way to accessing all that the Katahdin Gear Library has to offer!
WHY SHOULD I BECOME A MEMBER?
Like a season pass, a membership allows you or your household to access 24 hours of free gear rentals each time you rent. You can also opt in to our email list and be the first to hear about KGL and other regional outdoor recreation updates, events, and outings.
Becoming a member is an investment in maintaining our programs, our gear, and our space for years to come.
