KROC Programs

UMaine Challenge Course

May 14th, 11:30am*

What to Expect

On Wednesday May 14th* students will have the opportunity to join our KROC team on a trip to the University of Maine Orono for a chance to try their hand at the Challenge Course! All technical skills to master the low-ropes adventure course will be taught and handled by Maine Bound staff. Students will have about 2 hours to explore and practice their skills!

*This day is an early release day for some of the regional schools.

Transportation: We will be taking a Bragdon bus to and from UMaine for this trip. Our main pickup/drop off locations will be KGL (215 Penobscot Ave, Millinocket) and Medway Circle K (1941 Medway Road, Medway). Please note that any students being dropped off at the Medway Circle K at the end of the day will need to have a trusted parent, guardian, or family member there to pick them up upon arrival.

Lunch: A $15 voucher for each student will be provided for lunch at UMaine, but your child is also welcome to bring their own lunch if they so choose. A reusable water bottle is highly recommended.

Gear: All technical gear needed to participate will be provided by the Maine Bound team. Students should plan to wear loose fitting clothing that they can be active in, as well as close-toed shoes.

Registration

This is a FREE program for students, but registration is required and space is limited.

In addition to the registration below, a waiver for Maine Bound will need to be signed to participate in the climbing portion of the day.
