From the program notes:
When one thinks of the North Country of Maine, one might envision Thoreau’s Maine Woods; a place of monumental natural beauty and wildness… and the character of the people who live, work, and play in the small towns that border this great forest. Bruce Robert Coffin was born in Portland, grew up in Scarborough, and attended the University of Southern Maine. He started as a police cadet with the Portland Police Department in 1985 and had a successful career in law enforcement that spanned more than 27 years. At the time of his retirement, he supervised all homicide and violent crime investigations for Maine’s largest city. Among the Shadows, a Portland-based novel, introduces readers to Detective Sgt. Beneath the Depths is the second novel in the Detective John Byron mystery series, and the third, Beyond the Truth, will be released on October 30, 2018.

Bruce is a member of International Thriller Writers, Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance.
