Gifts to our endowment fund are invested over time to support the Library’s operations in the long-term. Recurring donations are a powerful way to support our work over time. To automatically donate each month, select “Monthly” or "Yearly" as your Donation Frequency in our online donation form or print and submit this form and select a recurring donation. You can also contact your bank and schedule a recurring transfer to the Library.

Tribute donations are a meaningful way to honor or memorialize a loved one through your gift. To make a tribute donation, fill out our online donation form or print and submit this form. For tribute donations of $50 and up, we will purchase a book for our collection in recognition of the gift and include the honoree’s name on a bookplate. For larger tribute donations, we have a naming rights opportunities available, ranging from $500 to $25,000.

Help us ensure the Library can serve the community for years to come by including the Library in your estate plans. Planned gifts can allow you to both take care of the financial needs of your family first while creating a lasting legacy. There are a few types of planned gifts:

• Bequests – A provision is made in the will for a charitable gift to benefit the Library.
• Beneficiary Designations – Name the Library to receive a percentage of a life insurance policy, employer retirement account, IRA, or annuity contract.

While a percentage of our operating donations support the Katahdin Gear Library program, you can make a donation to the gear library specifically. To do this, select "Gear Library Donation" from the list of options in online donation form or printed donation form, or write a note in your check memo.

We currently offer four levels of sponsorship available to businesses and individuals who want to support the library’s Katahdin Gear Library (KGL) program. Sponsorships typically last one year, and you can become a sponsor at any point during the year. However, we are happy to discuss what sponsorship looks like for your business or organization and find a unique solution that fits your business' goals and budget.
