ABOUT THRIVE PENOBSCOT
Thrive Penobscot is a local group funded by Maine Health Access Foundation’s Thriving in Place. The group is a made up of representatives from in-home service agencies, hospitals, churches, food pantries, health providers, and community groups who provide services for those who choose to stay in their own home as they age, as well as those living with disabilities and chronic illness. The group has developed an action plan for the Katahdin and Lincoln Lakes area to increase knowledge and use of local resources, promote and expand local transportation services, reduce food insecurity, address social isolation, and expand caregiver education, training and support.

Free In-Person Tax Preparation

Free In-Person Tax Preparation
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation to anyone of any age — especially if you are 50 or older or can’t afford paid tax preparation.

Electronic Filing Available

Beginning February 6th to April 11th, 2018 Free tax preparation will be available at the Nazarene Fellowship Building every Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at 137 Forest Avenue in Millinocket. For more information please call Diana at 746-5834.

 

Robert Burns’ Night 2018

Robert Burns’ Night 2018 Please join us for Robert Burns’ Night 2018 on Saturday, January 27th at Designlab in Millinocket. Please join us… a fun night to be had by all!

Donation will be accepted at the door. Musicians featured are Wally Paul and Jeff Hamm. There will be other musical entertainment that will include a few Scottish/Celtic tunes, along with some poetry readings of Robert Burns. There will be an open mic for music and poetry.

While some snacks may be provided, it is a BYOS and BYOB event. Other musicians may also play, as well as a bagpiper.

This event is sponsored by Friends of Millinocket Memorial Library, and is a fundraiser for the library.
