Thrive Penobscot Community Engagement Meeting
Thrive Penobscot Community Engagement Meeting
Have questions about the Penquis Lynx ride program?
How do I sign up? How much does it cost? Where can they take me? What days can they take me? Who will be my driver?
Please join the Thrive Penobscot Community Engagement Group in the Millinocket Memorial Library Community Room this Friday to learn more about transportation services in the Katahdin region. Marcia Larkin, Director of Lynx Mobility Services, will be at the meeting to answer questions about Penquis ride programs.
A light lunch will be served. Let us know if you will be attending by calling 723-5288 (leave a message) or emailing jdanforth@mrhme.org.
Explore New Worlds: Cuba
Explore New Worlds Series: CUBA
New Worlds Series – Cuba at Millinocket Memorial Library. Cuba, a nation frozen in time. Just 90 miles south of the United States, it is worlds away culturally, economically and politically.
In 2012, photographers Deb and Doug Schmidt traveled there with National Geographic, visiting UNESCO World Heritage sites Old Havana, Cienfuegos and Trinidad, Hemingway’s home, the tobacco plantations and sugar cane fields, and the Bay of Pigs — with locations and agendas strictly regulated by the Cuban government.
We hope you will join us to learn about the Cuban culture, and take a photo tour of this fascinating nation.
